Trips
We offer both snorkeling and scuba diving experiences. Yes, you must be dive certified to scuba. No prior experience is needed for snorkeling, just basic swimming abilitiy.
All scuba diving trips depart at 8:30 AM, you must be there by 8 AM. Snorkeling departs at 8:30 and 11:30, be there a half hour prior. Tips of 15-20% are customary for the boat crew.
Dive Trips
One-Tank Beginner
For newer divers, or those looking for a nice long shallow dive, we offer one tank trips to either the 3-mile barge, or Poseidon's Playground. (We go where the fishing boats are not). Both sites are in 40 feet of water. Trips are every Wednesday at 8:30 AM and Sunday's at 2 Pm.
Two-Tank Near Shore
Up to 10 miles out in the Gulf, we visit two different dive sites in the 40-80 foot range. Typical sites include The Liberty Ship Allen, and bridge structure Atlantis. Both hold a ton of life: big amberjack, groupers, lionfish and sharks on the Allen, Spadefish, octopus, and more tropical fish on Atlantis. 5 hour trip.
Two-Tank Off Shore
This is the big one! Up to 20 miles out in the Gulf, we visit the greatest variety of wrecks and artificial reefs of all our trips! Maximum Depths are 100', with most structures coming up to 65. Barges, Tug Boats, Bridge Rubble, Liberty Ships, Army Tanks...if it's big, metal or concrete it's out there! 6 hour trip.
The New Venture
For Advanced Open Water divers, this is THE BEST dive in the Northern Gulf. 23 miles off shore, we do two dives on this MASSIVE site! It's a research vessel, 400 feet long and 100 feet wide. Easy penetration, max depth 120. Tec Divers welcome! (Think Vandenburg with fewer dive boats on top.) 8 hour trip includes hot dog lunch.
USS Oriskany
The USS Oriskany is the only aircraft carrier within recreational dive limits. Top is 86 feet, flight deck at 150. This is an ideal wreck for tec divers. It's so popular in high season, we typically do "The Mighty O" in the off season. 8 hour trip includes hot dog lunch.
Snorkel Trips
Snorkel trips are every Tuesday at 8:30 and 11:30 (Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure). Trips last 1.5 hours, with about an hour in the water. Location is dependent on wind, waves and tide. We might visit the turtle grass beds in the bay, or the rock jetties of Perdido Pass. While this is not the Caribbean, you will get much closer to all the fish, crabs, and rays! You can collect seashells and interact safely with a lot of our sea life! Minimum age is ten, and all participants must be able to maintain themselves in water to deep to stand up. Rental equipment available for an additional fee.
