Everything you need to know before stepping aboard.
What gear and certification are required for dive trips?
Requirements for all diving excursions: proof of certification, tanks, BCD, regulator, mask, fins, and a dive computer. Wetsuits are recommended, but not required. 3mm is appropriate for May through October. Water temperatures can vary from an annual low of 58 to a high of 90.
Do I need certification?
Yes, you must be dive certified to scuba. Snorkeling requires no certification, just basic swimming ability and comfort in deep water.
What if I'm running late?
Please check in at the posted check-in time — boats depart on schedule to keep every trip on time for everyone aboard. No refunds for missed departure times.

Can I rent gear the day of?
No. Equipment rentals must be completed the day prior to your trip. Divers are responsible for handling their own rental equipment.
Do I need a dive computer?
Yes. All divers must have their own dive computer. It's a requirement of our liability insurance.
Is spearfishing allowed?
Lionfish only. No guns allowed. You must bring your own pole spear, containment device and small cooler. You can have some of our ice for free. There are fish cleaning stations in the marina, bring your own knives and bags.

Do I need to tip the crew?
A gratuity of 15-20% is customary and appreciated by the crew, but never required.
Can I teach classes on your boat?
Yes! Instructors are always free, no student minimum. Must call to book: 251-391-4023
Do you offer group rates?
Yes. Call for details.
Can we book the entire boat?
Yes. Pay for 18 spots and you get the boat to yourself. 15 spots for tec charters. Must call to book.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Request Window: Prior to departure the guest will receive a full refund. After the boat leaves the dock there is no refund.
Weather & Captain's Discretion: If a trip is canceled by the captain due to hazardous weather, rough sea conditions, or Coast Guard advisories, guests will receive the option to reschedule or a 100% full refund with no charges.
Minimum Passenger Requirements: For trips requiring a minimum passenger count (e.g., Oriskany Aircraft Carrier requiring 8 divers), if the threshold is not met and the trip cannot run, guests will be offered alternative dates or a full refund.
Terms & Conditions
Certification & Logbooks: Certified divers must present valid proof of certification (Open Water, Advanced OW, etc.) and appropriate logged experience upon check-in.
Equipment & Safety: Divers are responsible for inspecting rented gear before departure. Dive computers and appropriate safety gear are required for deep/advanced wreck dives.
Diver Discretion: The captain and divemaster reserve the right to prevent any individual from diving if safety standards or certification requirements are not met.
